Loved this. I always thought I was a romantic, huh! I can see and feel the emotion in this piece. ...Sorry, I have been away for quite a while, dealing with loss and working in Afghanistan. Its good to get back home. I'm glad to see old friends doing well here in the forum. I'm working on getting back to putting words down myself. I can see your talent has done nothing but improve.

I don't know how you do it ... make words dance and flow from page to readers' stunned and amazed imagination, pulling us so deeply, warmly, appealingly, and vividly into your moments ... whew!
One can virtually feel the wondrous lady's dreams and imaginings in your illustration, the sensual gentleness in the presentation's inferred colors ... taking on a vibrant life all its own.
Flow, rhymes, meter, metaphor, etc; each combine in a voice seldom heard with such clarity of purposeful meaning ... I love it!

Please consider this review a Virtual Six, as I am out of them for this week.
This poem is a heartfelt expression of longing to relive a lifetime of overcoming daunting obstacles until, in weariness, safety and shelter were accepted without the comfort of love except in dreams of escape to freedom with a "wondrous love" before life ends. This sad circumstance is all too common, especially for battered women. Such situations at best are difficult to remedy; and, for a variety of reasons, many never are resolved. If the dreamt lover is a real person, he faces an indefinite future of anguish and frustration unless he can settle for friendship at a distance despite secret dreams of his own, until (if ever) a change on the other side occurs in matters beyond his control. There have been other songs and poems about such circumstances, but none I have seen match the sheer openness of this one. It is an eye-mister, even in repeated readings. Superb.

A very interesting style that flows so easily and the words you use are verywell chosen and used. rhyme is great and flow is perfect giving it an ease of reading
