The foot is very good. The poem is tastefully sensuous. The rhyme didn't stand up very well, but the graceful words made up for it.

I like the language in this very much. I am partial to turquoise as well. It reminds me of passing through a mirror, the mirror being water, and symbol for the unconscious
mind. It seems to get a message across of a tete a tete, with the added ornament
of champagne.

First, I just want to say your artistic presentation of this poem is breathtakingly beautiful. Second, I think the poem is amazing. The words are not randomly chosen, obviously... any more than Mozart randomly threw together a bunch of notes and wrote Requiem. The words resound together so charmingly in lovely music and stir a deep emotional response. I like how you choose words that have the same internal sounds... like equipoised and turquoise, surprised and horizon, trace, place, rest, nestled, tenderness, scented, then there is kisses, and blissfulness, savoring and taste... not to mention all the alliteration. But these are merely the intelligent use of poetic devices, which would be meaningless if there were not also a message in the words. The message is love, and whether the object of that love is imagined or real, the emotion is genuine and easy to feel. I found this a beautiful example of your artistic talent, from the gorgeous presentation to the stirring words. Beautifully done poetry, Michael. I hope to see more from you soon. P, S. I forgot to mention how much I liked the title... Wonder Is... with the small addition of full. You do have a magical way with words.
