That is a weather forecast for a tropical storm into hurricane alright. You are definitely knowledgable on the subject. I was raised in South Florida the season is June to October there. Great poem. Good luck in the contest.

Very nicely written poem for this challenge. It takes a little bit of a welcomed challenge to pick up on the category, until the last paragraph :) Feelings were expressed very well! Good luck, AmyJo

A well-written contest entry. I think you completed the challenge of the contest well. Your words flowed well and combined easily forming the message of the poem for the reader.

This poem, The Rain of Sixes, makes sense as I read the theme of hurricanes. You have used all the required words and created an interesting work.

I guess we all wish we had more sixes to share with those worthy of them, but then the six would become the new five. Like the hurricane we are safe within the eye--can see the sky, can see the bigger picture. Don't get caught up in the storm. Marilyn

Dear Mystery Writer,
I feel like a fool. Or like I'm trying to read a foreign language maybe. This just didn't make sense to me. --frowny face-- I'm sorry but I read it several times and just didn't understand. Can you help me out?

I didn't know that. Or if I did, I had forgotten. There are so many degrees of storms, one has a hard time keeping up. Not sure what you meant when you said, I wish I could share more f them with you. I presume you meant sharing the stories of them.
Good job!

A very well-written poem about sixes raining day. We all do our best to earn a few of those precious sixes. Sometimes we miss it when all the sixes are gone.
