A smooth and sincere expression of love where shadows collide and mysteries unfold.
There is nothing better when you are in love than finding out all the wonderful things about that special someone, that makes them tick and how it compliments you.

A very interesting rhythm here that defies my analysis. Seven syllables then eight, then nine but with a beat's pause in the middle, then finally ten syllables. abcb rhyme in the first and last stanzas bracketing a fully alternatively rhymed stanza in the middle.
The content is more easily dealt with than the form for this is a very optimistic poem. Things are going to get better in the future so no looking back at those dark and lonely memoirs. And a happy New Year to you too.
