I too am very concerned and feel we need to start standing up and saying, "What do you think Christmas is? I'll give you a hint, it's has His name right in the title of the holiday. Christ-mas." For years it was okay to have Christ in Christmas, now it offends. Well the Bible said they would hate those that followed Christ and we see it more and more. One day they will put us in jail, I have no doubt. But the Bible also say, "In this world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer, for I have over come the world." Hope you have a good Christmas too.

For years it was okay to have Christ in Christmas, now it offends. Well the Bible said they would hate those that followed Christ and we see it more and more. Barbara, I found it hard to concentrate on my work today because my clients, adults with disabilities and various faiths, watched the Charlie Brown Christmas Special. I kept stopping what I was doing and craning my neck to watch this beloved film. I got real quiet when Linus, in my opinion, made the most important speech in animated history, and, dare I say, in television history. Usually, animation and our culture in general run away from issues of faith and religion when we should be running towards them, grappling with them. It is sad when we are not permitted to acknowledge our faith through a cartoon character! After the special, I told my clients that I visited the Charles Schultz Museum in Santa Rosa. The man was a genius, and his characters, stories, and message still resonate today. Tolerance and standing up for our beliefs are issues our society with continue to struggle with to find a balance.

How horrible! My husband is retired military. We were stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. This was about 16 - 17 years ago. I was teaching kindergarten. Fort Campbell had government schools at the time. I could not teach Christmas, the the Jewish Kindergarten teach beside me could teach Hanukkah. There's something wrong with that picture. I have nothing against Hanukkah, but if she could teach it, I should have been able to teach Christmas. Thank you for the kind review.
