My own dream "go-to-guy" is called, "The Keeper of Nightmares", Luna.
My guess is that he's not nearly as pleasant as your "Dream Master."

Still, I'm glad to know that you can beseech him to take you to "His World", because I would never ask my guy--under ANY circumstances--to do the same.
My participation is completely involuntary.


Fairies, centaurs,
Pegasus flying fast in the sky.
YOU control my deepest dreams....Fluttering faeries, flying centaurs and Pegasus soaring to lofty heights. Must be nice visiting one of your dreams, I would think, Luna.
It's much better than dank, dreary dungeons, crumbling crypts, or centuries-old-cemeteries, lol...

All kidding aside, this is yet another lovely poem form your talented quill.

I think psychologically this poem can give a reader an idea to focus on a good dream as one lies down to rest. The message is to think of gentle images to take away those heavy burdens that were loaded up ( like in your stanza 3) during the day and can threaten a sleepless night during which is the time that the brain starts to work. I came to a reading that says during the night the brain does the memory "storage" and it is good to have a gentle sleep. Lack of REM sleep can cause memory loss. In the last stanza contains your alliteration to remind of the feeling of fresh after a good REM stage.

This hasn't been my favorite of the free verse poems I have read, but it's different, I suppose, in a way. I thought free verse should have more rhyming...? Not my favorite of your works, sorry!

Some free verse has no rhyme or rhythm at all. That's why it's free verse. I got for you to read the explanation of free verse from Shadowpoetry.com, where many of us go to get mechanics of poems.

"Free Verse is an irregular form of poetry in which the content free of traditional rules of versification, (freedom from fixed meter or rhyme).

In moving from line to line, the poet's main consideration is where to insert line breaks. Some ways of doing this include breaking the line where there is a natural pause or at a point of suspense for the reader."
