A wonderful descriptive free verse. Imaginative
and metaphorical, with mystical tones to make the
reader think and ponder.
Lovely images and and beautiful use of language.Each time I read it I find new meaning. Such a joy to read.

HI Michael, as much as I love Autumn...I love Winter more...but when it is here I love every leaf that falls...every color that shows...every crispy leaf I step on...this is such a magical poem...I love the wording...and the picture...calming...you should have put it in a contest my sweet friend...very nicely written...Love Linda xxoo

-I wish you would've use this poem for the free verse contest for this would been voted for by the committee very heavily.
-Great metaphors and similes are used to interject the imagery with great descriptiveness that is demonstratively and vividly produced and created within indefinitely definitive expressiveness that shares a bed of tranquil eternity.
-The picture that is so relatively supportive to the conceptual theme of your poem.
-Your poem flows like the leaves in the river the flow down it.
-Great imagery and excellent enjambment.

Autumn opens up the door to winter wonderland in my neck of the woods. So beautiful they say, as I slip on the ice and bust my arse, wallowing in the wet and cold of a foot of snow. I don't care what they say, I would rather be at the Baja Cantina in Marina Del Ray, drinking rum and watching the Sunday ballgames. Remembering all the idiots fighting winter back home. Great job. :-)

Some trees understand mercy...
I adore that stanza. This is another one where the exact meaning may be over my head, but it sure affects me emotionally. So much to yhink about and just so beautiful to read. Wonderful. NG

This is a very deep poem. I like the blue background and the picture but it is a bit too deep for me to understand. I enjoyed reading it, though, just didn't understand it. Thank you for sharing.

The thing I really like about this poem is the way the form of the poem emulates the way a stream moves beating this leaf, twisting, turning and undulating in a manner that is impossible to predict and enchanting to be revealed as ithe leaf follows the streams course beneath the sky to the sea. This is gorgeous.
