I'm writing about flowers in my imagination. I hope that clears it up for you, if not, just let me know. I appreciate your kind review!

Excellent poem, but is it a Kyrielle? I was picturing stanzas where one line led to the next stanza, all different, not a refrain. Well, I am not judging contests, and this
poem gets five from me for rhymes and images.

I, too, saw my error and have removed the repeating lines. Thank you for your perceptive review, I do appreciate it.

I recognized this lyrical, lovely poem as a Kyrielle sonnet the moment I'd finished reading the first stanza, Jeni.
The haunting refrain, the subtle yet supple alliteration..
This yet another beautifully penned poem and tribute your dear son Mickey's memory.

Beautiful poem matched with a beautiful imagery. The flow of the words are just so wonderful. I love the repetition of the line "fingers connected to the wind".

Can I just suggest one thing? It would really be a great help to other readers, if you will use at least a bigger font size? Everything is well done, just that the font is a little small. I hope I didn't offended you on that. Good luck in the contest, and thanks for sharing your wonderful creation.

I love your repeating line, 'fingers connected to the wind', that is sheer poetry dancing! This is a most lovely Kyrielle, love this form, though I've never written one. 'Along the way, the saints have sinned'...beautiful, blessings...

Beautiful work here again, Jeni. Your words flow off of the tongue so freely. U iespecially like this stanza:

"Hangers they serve for fairy clothes,
yet from the highway, no one knows.
While visible are sutures pinned,
fingers connected to the wind."

Would you please do a favor for blind people like me though....Put your text in at least 12 size font? Maybe nobody else is complaining and I don't mean to sound like that, it would just be so much more comfortable to read unless that goes against your artistry in some way. Thanks so much, Jeni. Bob

Excellent picture so fitting for your Kyrielle poem. Very nice repeating line and good use of imagery to add to the beauty of the poem. Well done and good luck in the contest.

I like your poem very much. The repeated line is great. I have also entered this competition, but your piece is much better.
There's only one thing I don't understand. Why have you added a two-line stanza at the end? Shouldn't all the stanzas in a kyrielle have four lines?
Good luck in the contest.

Because the two lines are not there in a Kyrielle, you were right.

I'm glad you liked my entry.

You are so very correct in your assertion that all things are connected. It is not always easy to see it but in time it is revealed. This makes doing something worthwhile with the time that we are allowed here in the land of the living. A kind word or deed may influence someone who will take that good influence and do something wonderful later that benefits many others. We just never know who is influenced either positively or negatively by our actions.
