This poem truly does find the silver lining in the worst of things. Beautiful word choice to help portray the light of the matter. A great poem overall! Best of wishes regarding the prompt!

Mystery author,
I enjoyed your poem. Good job with the prompt. I really like the rhyme.
Your poem tells a great, & true story, too. A firm foundation in faith will prevent the power of in from winning.
Good job & best wishes in the contest. Jan

Jesus spoke of the men who built his house on shifting sand. This describes all who put their trust in people and things of earth.

Well done, this is a fine example of the silver lining in a situation. Whatever life throws at you, stand fast and keep your faith and you will be rewarded with a seat in God's home. Excellent, good luck in the contest! :) Sandra xx

No better silver lining than the hope of Salvation through Jesus.
The rhymes were fantastic and the words flowed together well.
A message of hope when terribly vexed.
Clear and Crisp.
Good luck in the contest.
I believe this to be a strong entry.

A very well-written poem. There are many things in life that can bring us down and make our lives miserable, but when we find Jesus Christ those things don't matter anymore.

Thorns can hurt. Even He knows that, having worn a crown of them upon His noblest of brows. But beyond the thorns, there is beauty in the briars, and we must remember that, for it mirrors our own lives in that there is hope in the darkest of times, thanks to Him.

"For though your flesh be torn to shreds-
in pits of briar's thorny beds....
Don't despair...
Come build your hope where beauty's flame
burns bright when clothed in Jesus' name.
salvation's rock, on this you'll stand
sin's billowed storms can't breach this land." ... I loved the fast-paced rhythm you've created here, Roy.
Your message is extremely important as it conveys the notion that no matter how badly you may been hurt in the past, always remember that you still have the future to look forward to.
