This little poem makes skillful use of words. And using Goofy as an illustration is fitting. I fear america has not jumped, but tripped over the trumpy stump and fell in the dump.

The form is so tiny, the word choices are especially important to make any kind of impact (okay- I did it gain - sorry. Love the fun image -- it's a great animation of the poem and displays that the stump did make the jumper fall, with a thump--but, since Goofy is a cartoon, "no harm done." Good use of the 3 line rhyme.
