A great family photo, Shari. I'm so glad your reunion went so well and you were able to spend time together after ten years. The chapter is I terezting and descriptive. A couple of mi or things to look at...

(")Your children are awesome." Nichole changed the subject.

So(,)Maggot, tell me about your job.

"Nichole(.)," (He)he put his fork down and smiled.

Smiles,

Thanks, Karyn, for finding the punctuation error. I appreciate it.

Next the meeting with Jeff, what I have been waiting for. I enjoyed the bantering between the kids, albino chick and the maggot. Well done, Shari.

Your children are awesome." --There are some missing quotation marks in this paragraph. I pulled out two sentences.

A sincere compliment from someone who chose not to have babies. "

Take care,
Russell

Thanks, Russell. I took care of that awkward sentence. Next post will include a picture of the infamous Jeff.

That is a super photo! You look exactly the same as in your profile photo. Remind me again how old you are? It seems Frank is aging, but you are staying the same! hahahaha! Glad to hear the visit went so well for all of you!! Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment. Frank if four and half years older than me and doesn't color his hair. But notice he's not bald either, :-)

I was worried, but it seems the dinner went very well. At least none of you got into a fight. I wonder how tomorrow will be. I am sure at some point the walls will come crashing down...yet I hope not.

Some good things happen, but my daughter shocks me with an unresolved issue on her part.

What magic that you were able to recreate past times with just the four of you. Interesting the way Nicole tried to grill Chris about his job, especially since it's top secret work. Sounds like you had a great time, with the children even calling each other by the names they had as kids. You got your wished-for compliment on your hair, anyway. Lovely account of your meeting. A very heartfelt description. The thought of seeing Jeff the next day doesn't to generate much enthusiasm with you. judi

Yes, I hated to spoil the beauty of what had happened.

Dinner for the four of you will be an occasion you'll remember, anyway. judi

This work has reached the exceptional level

I loved reading this Shari, and learning you received the wonderful reunion and dinner you had hoped for with your kids. The wait at the restaurant, the worry starting to set in, then the car.

Watching for them to emerge. What mother doesn't do that? The bantering between siblings, along with their monikers for each other, hilarious.

The turtle walk description...perfection! Love the trademark group hug tradition. I'm so glad you had time with just the four of you.

Exceptional!

Hugs to you for noting the details and getting the feel of our family love reawakening. Thanks so much for the six, Mary. You revitalized me to start the next chapter.

Very enjoyable read. I could sense an underlying tension, though everyone seemed self-controlled. I predict that self-control will be tested, if not bent, on the morrow.

That was the only compliment I received. [It was one more than you gave her, LOL, at least regarding hair.]

Well, I always tell her how beautiful she is. Her answer "You're so sweet." Hey, that counts as a compliment, doesn't it?

Excellent chapter, Shari. Your last sentence made me laugh - not wanting to spend time with Jeff! From the things you've written about him, I'm not sure I'd want to spend all that much time with him either! :o) This was a happy chapter and I enjoyed it very much. It was emotional when the kids arrived and you all hugged. I'm glad it went so well. I thought it amusing that the siblings, although in their forties, still called each other the nicknames they had for each other as kids. Excellent chapter.

Noticed a couple spags:

She plans their trips down to the minute[,] same as I do." (add comma)

I wanted to say, "I wish you had married someone like your brother who doesn't make fun of people or tell crude jokes. Heck, Chris doesn't even cuss. I have to watch my language even if the children aren't around. Nichole had a sailor's mouth even when she's with us. (Something is off with his paragraph. You started with quotation marks, and went into descriptive narrative.)

"Let's get into the personal stuff. What irritates you most about your job[?]" She put out the flat of (Question mark needed.)

I hope the next chapter is just as nice and happy as this.

I was waiting for Frank's reaction. You had mentioned it in the last post, or maybe, it was in the review response.
What a beautiful family. You must be so proud, and the reunion went so well. Just as you had hoped.
Chris looks a lot like Frank, especially his smile and build. Both so tall. Both handsome.
I like Nichole's dress and your new outfit. Pretty ladies.

Now, to wake up ten-thirty. Oh, for the stamina of youth. haha

Frank's reaction coming up next. This was getting too long. Appreciate your lovely comments about my son and hubby. They are close just like Nichole and I used to be.

A good story. Sounds like you had a good reunion. Nest time don't wait five years. People should not fall out of touch. There's too many reasons to stay together.

For sure, Thomas. Unfortunately, hubby's heath problems and growing dementia make travel difficult.
