Good title...Where to Now, got me off to the 5-7-7 and made me think what is next after death, once again, as what is next is always on my mind. Doubt's reaction can come in many forms each day. However at he end of the day, I live a better life. Dusty

You have such a true statement right here. My husband isn't a believer but he does tell me that he hopes I'm right. He told me he hopes that I can prove him wrong one day. Only time will tell. Great job

Thank you for the reminder that "Death is not the end". It never ceases to surprise me how much can be said in so few words. Best wishes in the contest to us both- Joan

Wow! You really know how to rack up the reviews. I'm lucky if I get to 15 on anything. Excellent subject and one that we ponder over and over. It's a very comforting poem, as you say that death is not the end but simply new beginnings. Your 5-7-7 format correct. You really put a powerful thought into those three lines. judi

Where to now is a good question. My initial thought when I read this poem was that this could be a marketing tool for someone offering to teach about the ways & wonders of the hereafter. A beautiful poem my friend with enticing mages. Thanks for sharing this interesting piece.

Wishing you all the best...
Bill~

Your three line poem is thought provoking for me. I share the feeling of the first two lines, but the third, not so much. I am a believer, without a shred of doubt, yet I do wonder where that new beginning will be. I know that it will be with our Creator and our Savior in the glory of "heaven" but just where is that and how will it be? I ponder, but not with doubt. Anyway, your poem made me think and that is always a good thing!

Best of luck in the contest.

Lena

Roy,
Your 3 line poem is potent and evokes great preponderance. To me death is an enemy. It is hard for me to understand its scope and the need for such tragedy for conversion. Try as I might, I do not understand. I am reminded of Christ when He was informed of His friend Lazarus. How He had come into town to learn of his passing. He wept, He literally wept. If heaven was his reward, why did He cry? If Christ had the, already proven ability to resurrect him, why was His heart filled with anguish? It is my understanding that Christ death was the firstfruit to a heavenly resurrection and that no other had gone before Him. If this is the case, what happened to all the faithful followers of God upon their death before Christ?
You see Roy, I do not mean to be questioning, but my heart has to know these answers and I have yet to find them.

I am not an arrogant or hard headed, but am truly one who needs answers. I am an extremely spiritual person and it disheartens me that I cannot see nor accept what others do so freely.

See what your work evokes in me?

Beautiful... jimi

Thanks for the great review Jimi, a great question. Jesus wept not for His friend Jimi, this was His last miracle before crucifixion, but for Jerusalem, He knew what was going to happen to her. Remember, although hard to grasp, Jesus IS God, manifest in the flesh, John 1:1, Isaiah 9:6, I know all these things now, but I knew nothing at conversion, an agnostic, I had a marvellous unsought-after encounter with God, an experience that was wonderful beyond comprehension. Now God is reality, the rest is illusion. You have to ask, He loves you beyond your comprehension, Jimi, the way to God is not through the mind, or understanding, I could give a million infallible reasons, but, like I said, the mind is not the way, an unbreachable or uncrossable bridge, Jesus is the bridge. You have to ask, pride can get in the way. Il pray for you Jimi. Blessings, Roy

Thank you Roy, I am a child of God and God's children have inquisitive minds. I do not believe He minds if we ask things puzzling to us.
You are a dear sweet soul

I've made several journeys of doubt, anger, regret, all the time He was a like a gentle mother, nurturing and guiding me. I'm in a place of absolute security now, but the journey was difficult Jimi, nothing worthwhile is achieved easily, my only desire is you know that. Bless you,

I've reviewed four of this prompt's entries, and you have the first so far with the seven syllable third line, not to mention a fine faith message. Excellent.

I would say you nailed this three-line poem contest. Please understand that I am NOT a poet. I just enjoy reading poetry. You have a very valuable meaning to your poem. Good luck.
