This has a very deep, intense message. It is well written and expressed in well chosen words. You have done a good job with this three line poem.

Death is a continuance of life and you say if well in this short poem format. Doubt is where faith gets lost. It is hard to escape that doubt. but maybe that is what the journey is for

Personally, I don't have any doubt reaction to this poem, Roy. *smile* I think you said it perfectly. When we die, we only die physically. We start the process of living our spiritual lives. Very cool poem!

As you already well know, Roy, the Bible tells us as much concerning death being the end in 1 Corinthians 15:55: O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
All the Lord is saying here is that death has no hold over those who have accepted Christ into their hearts. The grave cannot contain our immortal souls.
It is merely a new beginning, just as you've stated here in your well written 3-line poem for the contest.

This three liner adopts the 5-7-7 option and so pulls away from the Japanese feel of the shorter option. This allows for something other than the haiku-like piece that so many of these become. Consequentially this has a refreshing western feel to it that, personally, I welcome in preference to the somewhat pale imitations of the Haiku that the shorter form tends towards.
The philosophy is clearly stated, that Death is not the end in the overall scheme of things but a staging post along the line of -- what shall we call it? Can't call it life. Existence perhaps.

Doubt we know is in a ball of confusion because "its simply new beginning" that takes faith and we also know there is no room in faith for fear are doubt.

It's good to believe death is not the end. That's why faith is such a wonderful thing.
But there's always an amount of fear and doubt as well.
Well written little poem. Good luck in the contest, Roy.

Hello, Roy,
How are you doing? I hope all is well. :)
Good job with the syllable count and grammatical connections. It's a lot like an English contemporary haiku.
Death is the final frontier and for people with faith is only a beginning. It gives great hope and comfort. Good subject, my friend. Take care,

Amen to your three-line writing prompt. I totally agree that death is not the end, simply a transition to eternal life. I look forward to being pain-free and to sit at His feet. Thanks Roy, this little gem hit the spot! Blessings, Kay. ****** six virtual stars (I don't have six real ones.)
