I enjoyed reading your Quatrain poem. It is well written and it flows and rhymes well. Interesting title, subject and artwork choice. Good alliteration of words femme fatale, the tide, turned toward, stood still and walk with.

This one seems to fit the rules pretty well. Rhyme scheme is abab and the meter is iambic tetrameter. My UK English caused me to stumble somewhat on the final line of the third stanza unti lI realised that you were probably treating toward as a single syllable word. It scans fine if you are.

Thank you for sharing my poem and your kind feedback. Yes, in the UK "toward" is pronounced as two syllables, but in the Midwest of the U.S. where I live it rhymes with "sword."

Looks like the stoic, emotionless man does have a heart that seems to overcome the musings of the mind. Great piece with perfect picture to emphasise the theme. We like to think that logic reigns supreme but after all that we're only kidding ourselves. Well done.
