What a cute poem - a delight for bedtime reading. I liked the 2 rhyming lines, followed by a third with a different ending. I see you are a really good author, but I have say this......" my friends say make a wish is dumb" I would change to 'my friends say TO make a wish is dumb ' It is a lovely choice of a relevant picture and I love the background color.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your lovely comments and the stars! I left "to" out because it threw off the meter. I also try to keep it like a child would say.

I'm so happy you liked this. Thank you for the compliment. 8-)

The man in the moon is a very special childhood memory for me--a favorite uncle showing me the facial features as a very young child on our driveway. This was so special in reviving that memory. Great rhyming and loved the image you chose. Bookcasing this one!!

How sweet of you! Thank you. I've always been able to see the face in the moon. Through the years, I've been amazed at the people who can't.

I'm very flattered that you bookcased this. Makes me feel so special. 8-)

(Don't tell anyone, but I still look for the man in the moon, and I still say "star light, etc..)

Yvonne,

This is a delightful rhyming poem and ode to the moon.
Very sweet coming from the voice of a young one.

I like cheese, but I doubt Mr. Moon is made from it;)

"and Daddy tells me where is Mars"

I see that above line as 'and Daddy tell me where Mars is'

No?

Very nice my friend,

Linda

A very well-written fun poem about the moon. The little girl is clever to know the moon cannot be made of cheese. She looks out for him every night in the dark he shines his moonbeams.

I loved everything about this poem, Yvonne. First the rhyming is superb, it has a sing-song effect that children will love, and the words about the moon and the little girl talking to him, is so endearing. I think many children look at the moon at night and see that face, I still love to look at him. (definitely the 'man' in the moon) The question, it's funny how we are all brought up being told the moon is made of cheese, LOL. I like how you have brought in the stars and named Mars, which you can see clearly most nights. A really lovely picture and presentation put's this poem in the 6 star bracket, easily! A pleasure to read, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

What a cute little poem. Kids would love this one. I wonder how that rumor about the cheese moon got started. Now I have to look it up or it's gonna drive me nuts. LOL!

I think because it looked like Swiss cheese. That's just a guess.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like it. 8-)

Yvonne, awesome how sweet. The moon is indeed gorgeous to look at and certainly not made of cheese. More parents should take their children outside to look up at the moon. I enjoyed this one very.much.
