Awesome poem. I like how you start with October and end it the same. October does fly by every year. "Cackle, brew and fly on brooms", is exactly what I see all witches doing. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Nicely written haiku with the appropriate word count. Your colors are great for the October theme. Its a little more difficult when you can't use a picture, but yours is very effective. Carol

October witches are different from any other witches. Even though they cackle, brew, and fly on brooms they seem benign and maybe even fun since Halloween is their scene. These images definitely represent October and the form of the haiku seems accurate.

I like this, though I wasn't in love with the use of October in both the first and last lines. The flow is good, the syllable count is good. I love the feels of the raw words in the middle line.
May I suggest replacing the first "October" with "Halloween"? Same syllable count, no repetition, still meets contest requirements. Just an idea.
