What a lovely twist on the normal haunted house thing. I've always thought that houses contain the personalities and propensities of their "lovers", that love or hate, or indeed any emotion could be absorbed into the very heart of the home opposed to house, and I'm inclined to believe others do too. I love it! A haunted house with a different twist.

I would never have thought about having the house "family" communicate with each other. Poor little house was an outcast as far as haunted houses go. Sort of like Casper the Friendly Ghost.

This was absolutely great. Giving the house a personality and a name was a unique idea. Having the children come up with the idea to refresh the old home was a wonderful twist. An otherwise useless home was usable and sounds like it was treasured and Matilda-the house was once more loved. Great story, thanks for sharing.
