Touching story. I didn't know that about Robin Williams. You taught me something new. My father had Alzheimers. They all are terrible diseases.

For sure, Thomas. Guess it's one method of population control. :-)

Seems like this occurs in every family in one way or the
other. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's and it is a
devastating. However, I have not associated the other' My
symptoms as you describe. MIne is an intermittent form and
thus, I hope to be shot by a jealous husband when turn 90.

LOL. What a way to go. Headlines at least. As for your diagnosis, I'm losing more and more faith that doctors know what they're doing. A story on that coming up. I'm into alternative methods of healing as in sound therapy and reiki.
I want to go at 85, blowing out the candles on a chocolate cake and falling face first into the frosting.

I hear you Sheri. I have Parkinson's and Alzheimer in my Genes. Frank wishes Jeff wasn't coming to visit. Something in the past? As we age we need yo bury all the hatchets we can find to ease our mind and make that last journey a little more pleasant. LOL Age can sometimes make Humble pie sound good. xx Nancy

Neither of us was happy with Nichole's choice for a husband. She gave up her ambition to be an actor and support him so he can can pursue the same dream with mild success. Hard to like a son-in-law who thinks it's appropriate to entertain his in-laws with movies about Charles Manson and Jackass. What's worse, my daughter doesn't stop him! This happened at our visit in 2011.
What's humorous now, within the past few days, Frank can't remember his name! That's a good sign I hope that he'll forget his social gaffes.

How horribly sad, Shari. How swift! I can't imagine the grief your family suffered. I think I must have missed if you offered the dating of this piece - so let me know how close we are to present time, please. Thanks!

Good suggestion. I added the date of my daughter's arrival--May 1, 2016. I'm nearing the end.(of the bio)
Anne had survived so much and her family had always been involved in the church. I'm sure her sons and husband saw it coming. Still, it's hard to come to terms with the death of a wife, mother, and in my case, sister.

Hi, Shari

= Wow, so sorry you lost your half-sister like that.
= It was nice you spoke with each other not long before.
= I had never heard of LBD before Robin Williams.
= Sounds as devastating as Dementia and Alzheimer's.
= Nice picture of her hubby and sons.
= Hope you're feeling better.

The depression is what tore at Williams. Thanks for noting the picture. I'm feelin so much better now, but had a big scare first. Will write about that later.

I never heard of LBD. Will look it up online. You're outliving a lot of your family members, which is a good thing when you think about it. Even tho you have to grieve, you're still here, thankfully.

So am I. My doctors (two consulting) rediagnosed me this year. I don't have COPD after all. I do have a lung disease, but mine is slow-moving. Scans have not changed in 18 months. So I'm still dying, but not so soon. LOL! At my age, every week counts. :)

Phyllis, I'm beginning to lose all faith in doctors. I had a Reiki healing two days ago and my pain is almost gone and without the aid of shots and pill.
We're all dying. God chooses the time, not the doctors. :-)

I just looked that up. Sounds strange, but if it helped relieve your pain, it's terrific! Keep doing it. :)

Hi Shari, I've missed your writings. This may be one of your best that I've read. It is direct, with the perfect amount of medical terminology, peppered wiyh your style of hit-and-run humor throughout.

This line:Severe dementia and aggressive behavior are also signs, but I leave those symptoms to Frank.---Lmao!

I'm sorry about your sister. Your husband sure remembers your son in law is a tool!

Excellent!

I've been busy recuperating and that's quite a story. Down and out for awhile. Thanks for picking up the humor.
Something even funnier. Start this past week, Frank can't remember Jeff's name!

Thank goodness you called Anne and were able to talk to her before she passed away. As you say, that's intuition. I have never heard of LBD before and I hadn't heard the suspicion that Robin Williams may have had it. I'm glad Nichole planned a visit to see everyone.
Your closing line was poignant: 'Some memories never die.'

Thanks, Heidi. Robin's wife revealed he has all the signs. Takes a team of specialty doctors to catch it.
Can't wait to write about Nichole's visit.
I'll have to take back that last line.
Last night, Frank couldn't remember the name of Nichole's husband. Yikes!

You are a very good writer. I think this would be of great interest to people who are searching for answers to medical problems or diseases. People always wonder about health issues.

Thanks, reprairie. It's a field I've always been interested although there are no nurses of doctors in my family line. I hope to enlighten others who may be suffering. Thank you so much for the comment on my writing and for taking the time to read.
