This is a very sensual poem, written in a unique style that is truly yours. "Gradual is driftwood's home for shore" ... brilliant and so very original (at least to me)! The entire poem is excellent, but my favourite line is "gentle like earthquake's after effects".

This is a very sensual poem, written in a unique style that is truly yours. "Gradual is driftwood's home for shore" ... brilliant and so very original (at least to me)! The entire poem is excellent, but my favourite line is "gentle like earthquake's after effects".

Indeed, the female form
was forged to woo
man. . .
'tis said that Adam was
contented in his solitude - but the Lord
had other plans,
and so he created a helper;
to broaden man's
horizons
and birth paired harmony.
He made her comely, shapely
fitted
endowed her with ambition
yet embedded ebb & flow
of mythic lunar rhythm
undulation
of body and mind -
the power
to spellbind/the grace
to civilize.
And, oh, the garden
of delights that arose
as man gave
of his flesh and bone
to birth woman
so that woman could
forevermore
give flesh and bone birth
to man.
Not least of these was the kiss
cerebral first
then manifest in lips' caress
that struck as match on sulfur strip
and sparked a fiery passion.
Designed affinity.
Divine inspiration.
And, oh, how divinely you have described the wonder of the
benefits derived :-)

very sensual poem. Well chosen word descripting a woman, one that you must know well. I can almost smell the cigarette smoke. Enjoyed the read and especially the well chosen music.
