I can relate. My friend and i eat lunch every Saturday at Dena's South of the Boarder. His schedule changed and we started having breakfast there. The waiters said, "Your in luck. We just started serving breakfast.
I said, "What I'm really hungry for is eggs benedict."
"We don't have that.
"Corned beef hash?
"Nope"
" eggs and bacon with a side of toast?"
"We don't have any of those."
"What have you got?"
"Breakfast burritos."

Hello Bill;
-I have to praise you for your imagination which is truly inventive and ingeniously creative especially with this script Between Ned and Pons. By making Pons illiterately and less knowledgeable Of the world of this circumstance you created and opened up a whole can of worms of enjoyment the lease from the reading standpoint.
-Thanks for sharing and take care and have a good one Bill.

Poor Pons.
Ya know, Bill, the thing about Pon's character is that I understand him.
No, really, I understand his way of thinking, I mean.
You wanna know why?
Because here in this little redneck town in southeast Ohio where I live, 99.9% of the people talk and act just like him. We're just a flea hop away from the Kentucky border, fer Gawd's sake. An' you know well as I do how them Hillbillies is.
Another fantastic (mis) adventure of your two notorious characters, Ned & Pons. Good stuff!

Thank you, Dean, for the excellent review. I've got a couple buddies in Kentucky that I draw character traits from all the time. Bill

Then you know precisely what I mean, Bill.

That was great! Sounds like my town, kinda redneck ya no. I loved it, great laugh for this morning. It makes me wonder how these two even met in the first place. They are such different characters. Even more, how does a marine/English teacher become so funny? I think I get a laugh out of everything I read from you. Keep them coming and thanks for the laughs. Best wishes.

Reading this prompted a wry smile on my face.
You handle the exchange well. The speech not only conveys the scene to the reader, it also conveys the type of characters involved. That good crafting. For example: So they jes' doin' eggs and such all day? is very indicative of your characterisation.
And, the last line resulted in a chuckle from me :-)
I enjoyed this. I hope to find the time to read more from you in similar vein. Well done, and thank you for posting it.

hahaha, a script on Mc Donald's, be surprised on the strange foods in some Mc Donald's around the world. maybe they should open a deep southern food style. good wit and fun on this, enjoy your day.
