Excellent. Boy, this story sure grabbed my attention. Normally, I don't care much for this type of story, but this is so well-written it held my interest from start to finish. I didn't spot any errors. Terrific work.

Thank you for your king review, prettybluebirds. Down the track, I'll add previous and following chapters from my ever-increasing novel. Glad you liked it!

Rather disgusting all the way throught with the details of his bowel problems, but the ending made that look tame. What the heck happened anyway? If there's an explanation for waht it was that was killing all those people, I didn't find it. The person without a face, the hydrogen sulfide rain, etc. Not my cup of tea, but well written for a draft.

Thanks you for this advise, Phyllis Stewart. I actually copy/pasted it from my book created on Microsoft Word; didn't check that it didn't auto format. I'll edit the chapter very shortly so you can - hopefully - enjoy it.

Phyllis, paragraph breaks installed. Please advise if further editing is required. I hope you enjoy the chapter.

I edited my review and upped it to five stars. DIdn't really like it, but that's not the point. :)

Hi, Phyllis. That was actually chapter eight of a novel in progress. I was there was a section in the contest area where a book/chapter could be submitted. Perhaps I misread that. Chapter eight is the start of the world going to hell in a hand-basket. The initial chapters are character-identifiers. The next few chapters are actually worse. A lot of research has gone into this work so far. And, yes, acid rain is the first part of world-wide destruction. Other issues occur later.
