So true. Life gives us challenges. Overcoming makes us stronger. You attribute this to God. I do not think a lovinh god would choose pain for us.

Firstly, this was very enjoyable to read and heartfelt. I liked it because you had a positive outcome, you persevered in your life and that's quite courageous alone. Yet you were able to write about it. I didn't see any errors, the rhyming works. I don't really think it's humorous though, more philosophical.

Rhythmically free in style while maintaining a clearly defined couplet rhyme scheme within the quatrains and a monorhyme in the refrain line this poem is quiet clearly a conversation with yourself. I was aware of that prior to reading either the contest requirements or your own notes. A very well assembled piece of autobiographical work that is also enjoyable to read.
