A wonderful testimony and inspiration piece Roy. Heartfelt and filled with hope. Words of wisdom and strength from one who knows.
Excellent rhyme and good use of alliteration. Nicely done.

A worthy entry for this prompt. You go from shame and sins, to overcoming these bad things by putting your sins on Christ. A religious touch. Best wishes for the prompt.

Great poem Roy! I love how it starts out so dark and condemned but ends up bright and full of hope. Amazing Grace came to mind as I read the words. Victory is ours though Christ because He is our strength. It is through this strength that we can overcome anything. Great words from a great poet, thank you.

Nicely done, Roy. I loved your rhyming quatrains. Truly, you have overcome, and I wish you the best in the contest.
Yet I, in condemnation cloaked
in tears of dismal darkness soaked. --great imagery in these lines. Well done!
Take care,
Russell

Such a grounding and inspirational poem. I loved the imagery. Christ as the rock, figuratively. What wonderful meaning to this. The flow was perfect. Great job. Gretchen

I loved your poem about the redemption of Almighty God. He will always hear our cries and forgive. God is the only true relief that a grieving, or guilt ridden heart can receive. For when God forgives, it is forever gone. Very well done.

Great poem for the topic of overcoming. The rhyme is perfect and gives a sense of cadence to the poem. The words flow naturally and don't seem forced in any places for the sake of a rhyme.

You describe both lives very well. The first in darkness and shame, the second with conviction and faith. I like the line, 'lit up my soul' it is concise and will resound with anyone that has walked the same two paths . Bravo, judester
