Thus is a beautiful, skillfully-written sonnet about the winds of time.
As our time on earth draws to an end, the winds blow less actively, but
they still blow! We all want to be remembered fondly.

This sonnet, Life's Timeless Winds, has the formatting done well and reminds us that the winds that we walk into now will be what we block at the end.

Wise words, indeed. As they say, people may not always remember what we say, or what we do. But they always remember how we made them feel.

May I, for all who follow after me,
by some kind thought or deed, remembered be.

Thank you for reminding us of the basic and much needed quality of kindness.

Cheers, JayBird1;
> I had a relaxing time reading your sonnet as I didn't have to check for the grammatical structure of a English or Shakespearean sonnets technical aspects because right off I saw that you knew what you were writing and how to do it.
> The coda, sometimes called octave presented itself in a demonstrative way and express itself very well.
>Only flaw I found in the first two verses was the Frequently usd words "wind", "blow" and "time". So, I'm completely aware that these words were very critical and necessary to get your point across, I'm just pointing out that it does look and read like there are used frequently even in one enclosed verse.
>Trying to exactly understand what the conceptual theme waOns very easy, but the couplet became a challenge. I know what you are trying to say but I don't think the way it was written, says it.
>Maybe the last time the something like this, and I just doing a stab at it.
"just remember the deeds that I'd given free."
>I enjoyed it immensely, Jaybird, Besides writing sonnets, also tanka's are my fave.
> Take care and have a good one especially during the holidays With your family and friends.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year
Alx

"Life's Timeless Winds", is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. To me, this is a six, but I only have fives left.

Very nice, and a lot said in this. I can relate with your metaphor of the blowing winds to the situations and choices and destiny of life. The winds of life have changed what I thought to be destiny so many times in my life, whether going with or against the wind, the winds of life will have their way. Thank you for sharing this.

Yes, we do want to be remembered for the good things we do and write. Thank you for this, it was quite refreshing. The more I age, the more I see the importance of this.
All my best,
Sally

If we've lived a good life and treated people well--showing kindness, compassion and caring, without being judgmental--Jay, we WILL be remembered.
Heroes sometimes get remembered, but you know legends never die.
If we are fortunate enough to become a published author, our words will live on long after our souls have left this mortal shall and crossed over the spiritual threshold to the other side.
Poe, Frost, Dickens, Dickinson, Tennyson, E.E. Cummings...the list goes on, and on, and on, and...
Merry Christmas to you & your family.
God bless,
~Dean
