I've read several of these entries regarding betrayal. It's interesting how different people responded. You have taken it to a optimistic tone. "new rose will grow". Many wise ones have said, "For a new beginning, something must end." When someone deliberately betrays, it's time for a new beginning.

Your have penned a nice betrayal poem for this writing prompt. I like how you described the hurt and pain felt by the betrayal, and how one was able to move forward. Crying definitely assist with getting those hurt feeling to the surface: "Tears freed me from the pain you caused," very powerful. The poem is well written with a nice flow, good luck with the contest.

A heartbreaking poem to consider the damage done by broken love. Your words evoke for the reader the sadness you feel as you close this chapter and look ahead to new love one day. Well presented with font color and image of the red rose of love.

Funny, how we can remember that as "tomorrows" together are gone, so is the pain from thorns. Betrayal is not an easy fragrance to inhale.

This is a beautiful picture of betrayal. I especially like the format of the poem; it captures the reader's attention and gives emphasis to the words. Even though there is disappointment expressed in the betrayal, there is also hope for the future. The use of the rose to depict both feelings is interesting.
