I love the flow of words into thought then become verse on your screen. Well done and well written. When you get a chance try the Advanced Editor on you writing page, It's fun to play around with the fonts colors and backgrounds. Good luck in the contest. Have a great day and God bless.

this is an intriguing piece of poetry dear allison! we can accomplish so much in our dreams that they may seem a part of reality especially when you have a deja vu.

I enjoyed reading your lovely poem of dreams.
I rarely remember my dreams but when I do, they are so real I would swear they were real. Once I dreamt my husband was having an affair. I didn't speak to him for 3 days. I only backed off because the woman in my dream was a soap-opera star. Lol

    Ha ha, my husband reminds me sometimes how I was mad at him for an entire day because of something I dreamed he did! Thanks for the review

I've read a book on REM (rapid eye movement) years ago. What I remember and loved the most was the title: "Our Dreaming Mind".
My favorite dreams are the interactive ones as I call them. The ones in which I know that I am asleep and dreaming. They go on and on, it seems and keep me entranced so that I ignore even calls to go to the bathroom....for a while.

You are absolutely right! In dreams nothing is impossible. The only drawback, is we don't get to choose what we dream. Our minds tend to do that for us. We only get to watch, although we do participate. They can be sweet, sad or scary! I liked your poem very much.

This is a good entry for the free verse contest. Good luck. I have many dreams. Some are so pleasant that I don't want them to stop and some so frightening I wake with a start.

This poem, Dream Escapes, looks at the upside of dreams and our ability to revisit old lives or live fantastic ones for what seems an eternity. Good dreams.
