Wow! What a form. Well done, Tom...
You know, it's feast or famine with this weather, isn't it?
In the spring it's floods floods floods here, and now, in summer, we can't buy a rain... although the other day, suddenly... a downpour... lasted about twenty minutes... then gone. lol
who knows why?

Loved this form, it was really well done with some excellent words choices, Great presentation... (love your new profile pic too) ;)
Great job
Cat

Thank you Cat. I guess that's why they say that weather is fickle. Lol.

Here is a wonderful work that fully deserves the sixth star which is not at my command! I always appreciate the lovely Poetic Teaching as always delivered by such fine representations as this, from this very gifted and intelligent author. My sincere thanks for this fine experience! HIS GRAYNESS

A six for trying it! I've never read one before but I appreciate your explaining what you did and you took your own picture--which is breath-taking--. Where in the world did you find out about this type of poem, and did you just decide one day, I think I'll try that!? Well, hats off to you to for bringing such magnificent artwork to the table. Your poem captures the reaction to storm, especially when it delivered eight inches and was followed by another deluge. I admired the mono-verse rhyme and the shape of the poem plus the accenting, individual words. Stay safe and as dry as possible- Joan

When the clouds gather here and they are dark we can be certain bad weather is on its way. It can be anything from a thunderstorm to very heavy rain. A tornado which is very rare here formed over Johannesburg region causing havoc.

Than you Sandra. Thunderstorms can be frightening. It rained here again yesterday. We got 2 inches of rain in about 15 minuted with high winds. Tornados are common here. Yesterday was more like a monsoon,

It seems the strangest weather is happening all over the world. We experience another cold front moving in from the south.

Hi, Treischel,
As per usual you have mastered a very complex form, the triquent. The poem's structure is the required 3 -- 5 line stanzas with appropriate rhyming, rhyme scheme and refrains. The rhymes are excellent and the figurative language very good. ("Enveloped, darkness that now entombs" is a first rate fresh alliterative
metaphor. I did enjoy this work, "Gathering Darkness", I feel for the flood victims. Floods happen in South Texas but right now we could use some of their rain.
Your friend and colleague,
Preston

Thank you Preston for another astute review, we certainly have had plenty of rain here lately. The lakes levels are high.

I hate when the days are gray and gloomy day after day. We need rain here so send a little out way:)

Great imagery and I like the lines you choose to be your refrain.

Good to see the master of forms putting in the good work on my return.
Night, fright, plight, sets the mood and you incorporate their meanings well with that which precedes them.
Good aura here. Nicely done.
Have a good day, Treischel,
Bets wishes,
RGstar

What an intriguing form. Good for expressing ideas around a single theme as here. I can see that the right choice is important. Typically, sods law says you run out of rhyming words with one left to do. this one makes its point well.
