Can't speak on style but will comment on written presentation which I found many thrilling aspects to consider. Writer's statements are crisp gripping to the imagination: thus I found it a pleasing write.

Comment from Pam (respa)
-Very good image and presentation.
-The form is very complex, but I am sure you understand it better than I do!
-Therefore, I will stick with content.
-I appreciate the author notes.
-The first stanza seems to set the scene for this man.
-The first line catches the reader's attention with a good image.
-The second stanza tells of this gentle man whose soul and spirit
have continued on in others.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for the author's notes. I am not a poet and don't understand all the poetic jargon. I just know I enjoy reading poems. I really enjoyed reading this poem and to me you just won the contest.

Excellent contest entry! Looks like a very complex form to me. You, according to the form described, seemed to have mastered it well and created a lovely poem in doing so. I love the artwork, which complements the well-penned words beautifully. It reads smoothly and easily, the rhyme is great and the presentation lovely. Good luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne

Hi Tony. Your poem is exceptional. I'm sorry I don't have a sixer for you. You have inspired me to try to write a poem in this form. What I like about yours is that it is straightforward. It's written well in a language that I understand. My kind of poetry. Your photo is equally outstanding. Marilyn

G'day Tony. Beautiful stuff, mate. That picture is amazing as well. He is a clever man creating this great form and you are clever writing in it. Way too hard for this old bloke.
Well done, cobber.

Good ode to your uncle. Sounds like he loved the earth and its plants. It seems the memories keep you seeing the beauty that was in the now overgrown garden and his spirit keeps you young.

Many thanks, Honeytree. Jim pointed out to me that I'd omitted one of the cross-rhymes, so I had to re-draft this poem quite a bit this morning to meet contest requiremens. You are ight about the artwork. It was selected by the contest organiser. A wonderful photograph! All the best, Tony
