Hello Teresa,
I loved this and I hope you forgive my suggestions below, the first line here being a dramatic call out for help and your second line indicated you knew He was near, if that was so you wouldn't "tremble in fear" so I want a transition to His presence to follow line one. The last line sends the felt praise????

I cried out my heart to you, and trembled in fear.
(Then your spirit filled me and I knew you were near.)
I am so sorry for doubting you time after time!
(Now I know you are with me, my praises in rhyme!)

Really great job here, and poetry is way out of my league,

I'm so glad you shared this beautiful song with us.
I can just imagine you singing it to the Lord. Isn't
it true that so many times we doubt Him. I like
your rhymes in this and how it seems you were
also writing about a specific time when you needed
him so much and He did not let you down.

This is a nice sacred song written about the revelation of one realizing the presence of Jesus in their life. The flow of the poem is nice with smooth rhyming. This is well written and enjoyable, good job. Good luck with the contest.
