Those babies are adorable, if they would only stay that age, LOL. Grandchildren are such a joy, it's different from raising your own children. Twins are a miracle, but a lot of work, Lol. Your poem flows nicely with a nice theme, good luck with the contest.

What an adorable photograph, Teresa. I think the presentation would be better if the font was the same, and can I suggest you change loved to love in the last verse since you're talking about the grandkids? I love the emotion in your poem as the kids grow up and grandkids are added. I can't believe you have six-year-old grandkids. You look so young!
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Thanks for the compliment on looking young. I actually have a 9 year old grandson too. I'll look at your suggested changes. Thanks so much.

Wonderful poem for this contest. What a cycle life is. Our children grow up and have their children and we love watching them for all those liveable baby things

This is one of those sentimental poem to cherish forever. I hope that you print a copy for a baby book, Bible or simply to hand down. I am a Grandpa now and it is amazing fun. Great work. God bless. Bruce.

Hi Teresa

How wonderful and full of love. Excellent free verse, so endearing and full of emotion. I don't have grandchildren yet, but I do share in the love and excitement of my friends who are grandmas. Your picture is lovely ... twins ... I always wanted twins. Haha! We did have twins in our mother's group. Hard work! :)))

Your delightful phrasing is alive with exuberance, and you cover all the best bits of babes. This is a fine entry for the Love Poem contest, though would be equally suitable for the free verse. I wish you the best of luck, surely a contender for highest placement. Hugs - Lovi xoxo

This is a universal theme that any mother can take to her heart. Where have those babies gone, it happens so fast. They are grown up and gone. The blessing of grandchildren is great. This is a wonderful poem of love.

I don't see them often and my daughter won't even let me take them to the park on my day off. I usually see them when they play t-ball and soccer. Thanks Jax:)

Cute babies--I enjoyed them vicariously, since my 39-year-old son is still a bachelor! I could visualize them growing up and losing their "chubby" ways. Best wishes in the contest- Joan
