Hey, don't stop! I want to read this book. Start writing, fella, or else. Where was Sunny all this time? ANother dimension, perhaps? Or did she just leave him for her lover and change her mind, coming to beg his forgiveness? I want to KNOW, dammit! Grrr....
LOL! Great job, truly. :)

Mikey is this going to be the start of a new novel? I really hope so. because I want to know more.
Not only do you capture the readers attention right from your opening sentence, (great job,) but you keep it through-out.
Well written.
Looking forward to more.

You did a great job with this and captured my full attention with your ending. I am not sure I am up to starting a new book, but a short story would be great. Sorry I haven't reviewed more, life has become complicated and gotten in the way of doing many of the things I enjoy.

This is an enticing story, Mav. A number of possibilities raise their hands in these opening paragraphs.
You've written a romantic setting, on the sea, on a ship, You've got the perfect love triangle and a man who for all intents and purposes may in fact be a bigamist. Enter in the lawyers.
Sounds like the Prose Potlatch is going to be a blast this Sunday.
A totally fun write as is your signature.
Great stuff.

Hey, Angel I'm so behind. Jeesh. I like your take on this. Some good ideas. I'm still thinking about maybe following up on this one. MAYBE. Thanks for the kind words. Dig it. Mav

Hi Mikey,
I think this is really great. The first thing that came to mind was the Bermuda triangle. This would be a great story. I would carry on reading.

This really did whet my appetite. I would download this to my Kindle out of sheer extreme curiosity. There are so many directions in which this could go and that is surely the purpose of this exercise. I like maritime stuff and it is generally popular so that's a good start. A beautiful girl, a mystery and an awful complication if this is not some sort of hallucination.

Mr. Cahill, well you better get this together and tell us more. Great opening. You caught me, hook, line and sinker. Ummm is it real or an illusion, wishful thinking. If it was his boat, why was he not lost too? jimi

Michael: you started a great story with conflict on the first page. What happened
to your wife and why did she disappear and reappear? Ok, I'm in. Gotta learn from you Masters. No one wants to be dead weight in the contest!
Do you sail on the ocean? John and I sailed with an old skipper on a lake. He liked regattas and taught many how to sail. Enjoy your day! flylikeaneagle
PS how does one pick names? Why did you pick Sunny Falcon. My husband had clients named Parrot and Eagle! They were big spenders at Neiman Marcus. Ok, I'm flying! SEE you at the prose camp fire!

Wow, Michael. I loved that one. Great beginning. It may have been for practice but now you have to go on. That definitely caught my interest, The missing wife, the husband , The new wife all introduced at an exciting moment. Love it.
