This really is a very well written poem with lots of descriptive words to paint a picture in the readers mind. The photo that goes with the poem is perfect. I enjoyed this piece a lot. You're quite talented!!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I, too, liked the photo very much.

What a lovely poem that touched my heart.
The vivid picture you painted of this lovely man made me feel I was there watching him in his new home, which I took it to be a nursing home, "among strangers," and remembering his younger days.
Very moving story, perfectly written. Thank you. 8-)

Thank you for the positive review. I am glad that you recognized the transition to the nursing home. He was indeed a "lovely man".

I love your illustration. I love how you describe, "white crosses dot country roads". This is a beautiful tribute to your daddy and minister. I love how you wrap your poem around the purity of white...how you end with the pearly white gates swing open wide and white butterflies sing love songs to the stars. GORGEOUS!!
Thank you so much for sharing...Penny

Wow. This is well written. I really like how you choose your words. The use of "white", for example, is perfect. The imagery is wonderful. A very creative poem.

This is a beautiful tribute to your father. Vivid imagery of another time and place and yet as clear and poignant for today. Very nicely written with tender love and warmth. Well done.
