So true....lots of time you yourself control what you are waiting for...you can or cannot make it happen.

so many times I wish that this would happen or I pray for that to happen....but it does put dampers on your current life....sometimes you really do stop living just to find out what you are waiting for will happen.

Live life to the fullest and as if it were your last day on this precious overcrowded mistreated earth of ours.

Thanks for sharing.

Milli Vanilli......Blame it on the Rain....just thought about that song for some reason just now....Oh well.

So much love for you and I can't wait to reconnect. I have been so busy with the musical at school, the debut of worst cooks and just day to day teaching that i have written nothing in two months.

We will meet someday. It has to happen

jusylee,

I love your poem. Good things do come when we least expect and oft times when we quit ruminating or desiring an outcome. Loved it. However, this is a train to read because of the lack of contrast..too good of a work to pass up because one cannot read... jlsavell

Waiting inside just in case it might rain and you may get wet is an excellent metaphor for all those times we hesitate or procrastinate in making a decision because it might be the wrong one. Excellent advice--just get out the and live!

So true, get out and live. Life happens in its own time. Learn something everyday and love life. I so appreciate your words.

I enjoyed this immensely. Your words rang so true. Waiting can be a pain then when you give up and decide to move on it starts to raid. Great work with this and keep it up.

This was written last year. I just got back from an amazing experience, but it happened in its own time, not mine. Live today.

A very well-written poem. Our time is very different from God's time. We want things to happen right now. God let things happen when the time is right.

Hello, Judy. This is quite a story. Unfortunately, that is just what it is. Prose, yet fomed as a poem. There is something about that, including the lack of rhyme that puts it in a sort of "writing limbo" and the reader wonders why not just write it in prose, text format?

Just my opinion. I know what free verse is....and I could not even categorize it as that. so sorry. Glad for your outcome though with the rain.

No problem it was written before I came to fan story .I just wanted to show how ironic it was that it showed up on my Facebook today when I am flying to New York for the same thing I was waiting for last year

Judy, nice free verse . I like the message. Too many times we wait and life passes us by. We need to enjoy the simple pleasures. Have fun on your plane ride
