Hi Mike, your poem really resonated with me, you put a lot of emotion into this work. I listen to music as well when I write, it helps with writers bloc.

Writing with music is new to me. A suggestion from someone. I like it, totally different material comes out of it. :))

A powerful and compelling read condemning the haters that are all too present these days. Effective in the changing colors and presentation. Well chosen words and descriptions.

Oh my gosh-so sorry-I will correct that. Not sure how that happened except for my ongoing insanity. Mea Culpa!

A sad commentary with an honest plea for love, not hate. Love is love and it doesn't matter who loves who. The same applies to my decisions about my body. My decisions. I don't know many (don't allow them in my life) who disagree with this but you've taken it a step further and asked people to look at themselves. Good for you! Thanks!

Your words convey an important message that violence , and hatred are not the answer. When fellow Americans are gunned down because of someone's self proclaimed judgement- it is horrific, and we should all mourn the lives lost. Love is commanded of us all... it is the greatest gift we can give to others. I believe that we are all accountable for our own actions and that at the end of our life, God Himself will judge us. So it simply is not our burden to have to judge others...we need to work on being the best human being that we can and show love to everyone we meet.

I fail to understand that just because we disagree with people why we can't still be TOLERANT of their beliefs. It makes no sense to me, but your wonderful poem does make sense. Thank you for sharing.

Very thought provoking, well written. I've always thought folks should just let other people just be. Why do we have to judge everybody? I agree with you, what has happened in Orlando is a tragedy.

This work has reached the exceptional level

We are created in the image or God, but we do not have the rights to judge. That is his job. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

I'm not religious and am probably an agnostic. My feeling about people that feel the need for church, etc., is that it's probably a good thing if it brings them comfort and it doesn't hurt anyone. Then, I wish them well. Your poem covers so many facets, I'm not sure I know where to begin. Specifically concerning Orlando; why is it when gentle, harmless people seek refuge in one of the few places where they can be accepted, they are terrorized and murdered? I think using religion and bigotry is just an excuse for being so threaten by insecurity that you can't control your rage. Then, there's just plain crazy. I do appreciate your thoughts and your take on, quite literally, the world and where it's at.

Religion can be a good thing or it can be a horrible destructive thing. It depends. If it's about love and tolerance, then great. That works with or without religion. Anything else, doesn't work. I think we're on the same page. :))
Appreciate the insights and thoughts. Jeesh. Awful things happening. So sad. Thanks so much, mikey

Yes, I agree with the heart behind this for we are free to be whom we shall, yet there are instances that raises eyebrows where children are concerned and the choices which they have ...to choose, in fact, no choice, so who has there voices? There will always be grey areas, and where do we stop?

Normal is what we make it, as a whole. what is normal for one society may not be for another...Yet we all have a fundamental right for freedom and choice, choosing whatever partners we would...and so should it be...I just need to hear a voice for the child that is not able to choose, for we have heard much for the adult who can.

Good write, Author, for the heart is at the fore. Long live the right to choose.

My best wishes,
RG

Mikey, you are angry, you are sorry and you are exasperated. You just can't understand what is happening to people who have never done anything other than being them. What can happen to any of us just because we don't think and feel and live like they think we should do. How dare they and all in the name of a so called belief. Oh how I feel the same as you. It brings tears to my eyes. What is happening to this world? I loved your passionate poem. All the best. Ulla:)))
