This is good Mike, unfortunately there will those that hate, we don't all have the same ideals or morals which causes hate for those that don't believe like they do, that why God will sort it all out later when we have to face him

wouldn't living in a hate free world be the answer to all the violence and senseless deaths. Some people feel the need to express their beliefs through hate because words alone do not back up their beliefs. There will never be a peaceful world all the time these misguided people exist. To rid them of their ways we would have to stoop to their ways. How wrong would that be? Yet we see no other way. Man has always been persecuted for what he believes and no amount of wars changes that. It seems to me that evil, the devil, are winning this battle.

Some people feel the need to express their beliefs through hate because words alone do not back up their beliefs. There will never be a peaceful world all the time these misguided people exist. To rid them of their ways we would have to stoop to their ways. How wrong would that be? Yet we see no other way. I remember when a lone gunman shot down thirty-two people in Tasmania in the '90s. The country mourned and expressions of hate and love for the lost assailed our senses for weeks. The Prime Minister even enacted laws which saw a mass buy-back of all weapons in the country. And then laws were enacted to make it very hard to get hands them.
The Orlando massacre seems to have taken root in your poetic heart (and the nation's), and I'm little surprised. As I read, I kept thinking 'stream of consciousness'; a mass outpouring of thoughts that delved into the idea of love and hate juxtaposed in personal and community life. You confirmed what I was thinking in your notes, only it came out through music. Trying to sum this up is hard because it's so far ranging. Here is one of the pieces that resonates:
Where is the wrong in that
where is teh harmony lost
where does the hate
insinuate itself
and slither in...that kid with the need to kill seems to have let hate replace the love he may at some time known, and look at the cost.
When the red appears the poem goes from emotional and philosophical sorting, to anger at the justification of hate. Your use of metaphor is powerful, particularly the creature that slid out of the quagmire. The internal rhymes and word choices sustain the flow of intensity.
There are a couple of uncharacteristic errors which you may wish to fix:
The heading: Who's love is superior? ...Whose love
to part's unknown ...parts
I'm so sorry for the individuals who died so needlessly through the twisted hate of one individual.

Pretty slick to start off with the very first word wrong. HAHAHA! You're the only one who noticed too.
It's sooo crazy and maddening. I just think of some of the snarky crap that's written here and that's what got me going. That atmosphere all adds up and contributes to this kind of thing. What a great review. I sure appreciate it. You point out practically everything I was going for. Great to hear. Just awesome. For some reason the spell check in advanced editor doesn't seem to work at all. I wrote this in the music forum listening to that song and then pasted it over here, so there's not much editing. Many thanks for the great reply, Mikey. I wouldn't trust these editors with a big word like 'big'. They're like writers. They seem to have many good and many bad moments. You should see the crap I send out when I review on my Ipad. The auto-corrector does terrible things to words like 'truck' and 'punt'.

With respect, I find this far too long for me to concentrate on and give an honest detailed line review.
I de skim through it, and I'm afraid I found little poetry, and more a sort of rant and lecture.
Anyway, I certainly get your point that hate is awful and the world would be a far better place with more tolerance and love, and you express your views extremely well and strongly.

Wow, I'm so pleased this inspired you, Judy. I actually wrote this over in the music forum. I've been listening to music and writing as I listen lately. It's something someone told me to try. It's something different for me. I wasn't going to post it, but then I decided I should. It's an important topic and if I'm going to post something this is the thing to post. You have it so on the money. Let people love whomever they want. God is love, yes? What's the problem. Jeesh.
I used to defend kids against bullies in school. I don't know what I'd do now, they have guns. Looking forward to your write. Thanks so much, mikey

Just because someone believes differently than you do does that give you the right to hate them? An age old question that has caused many wars since the dawn of ages and always will.
Which path is the right one to follow? And who is one person to hate another just because they live their life differently than you do? Does that give you the right to hate them?
Hate is indeed a very strong and powerful emotion that leads to disaster every time it is imposed on somebody else.
You can hate the things a person does but does that give you the right to hate that person?

I think you're right on the money, Brett. Hate isn't an answer to anything regardless of one's beliefs. I haven't read any advice in MY bible that tells me to hate anyone. :)) Thanks for the words of wisdom. mikey
