God love so much that He could not even watch His own Son take upon Himself the awful sins of the entire world. God's love is so simple that even a little child can understand it, and yet so profound that the most educated miss it completely. Patricia

Simple and down to earth. A condensed manual to clarify how important belief is. Numbers six and seven are my favorites.
Speaking of a faulty concept of God's love, it irks me no end that Frank, a devout Catholic, is afraid to miss Mass for fear of dying during the week with a sin on his soul.

Frank needs to be asked the question, "Did Jesus die for ALL your sins or just some?" Hopefully, he will say "all". Then you can ask, "Is God going to collect twice on your sins?" Jesus paid it all. All our sins were future when Jesus died and fully took all the righteous wrath due us for our sin. Now, God can treat us as though we were Jesus. This is grace;we are justified before God now and forever as soon as we trust Christ. God bless Frank, he is not alone in his fears as the RCC does nothing to promote the doctrine of eternal security. Blessings to my friend. DEnnis

For sure. He says I wouldn't understand because I'm not Catholic. I bite my tongue to keep from denouncing some of their rituals. That really hurts him.

Fear is the RCC greatest ally, especially in third world countries but here as well. Perhaps he would be impressed to know that reportedly, Mother Teresa's last years were marked by only speaking of Jesus, not church dogma. Jesus takes away fear. He said, "If you've seen me, you have seen the Father." God bless you as you continue to love and care for Frank. Dennis

I liked this very much. So true. The only one anyone can truly rely on is God. People will fail us as we will others but God never fails. Mary

Sometimes it seems God's love is conditional, but when sin is removed from God's sight by faith in Christ, it introduces awareness of the benefits of His- salvation, abundant Life, prospering in all areas of one's life through faith. God always loves, whether belief or not, I didn't understand until my eyes were opened by the Holy Spirit, but the funny thing was, I always possessed a sense of destiny (Ps.139, Jer. 1;5) long before my eyes were opened, a knowledge of eternity even though I didn't know Hlm. Well done bro Dennis, simple but affective message.

Thanks Roy, perhaps that sense of destiny is described here? Ecclesiastes 3:11New King James Version (NKJV)

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

    God bless, Dennis

Yes, that was the very scripture I had in mind Ecc. 3:11, but the warning of Romans 1 "You are without excuse o man..." Beautifully done bro.

This is eloquent and beautifully stated truths. You have explained God's love in a compassionate and intelligent matter. You have portrayed God as a kind and caring individual who is willing to work with man to help him achieve his potential in life. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you and I trust that the message that man's ultimate potential can only be reached through faith in Jesus Christ, God's Son came through clearly in this piece. Thank you for reviewing!.

Your views hold weight only to those who will heed them that read them. It is a sad world today that we live in with the killing and hate so rampant. How refreshing to have a simple word of faith and love to read occasionally. Thank you.

There will be an end to killing and hatred, for God has promised a new world coming wherein dwells righteousness. Our purpose now is to preach the Gospel so those who have never heard about salvation in Christ can come to faith and experience God's love for themselves. Thank you for reviewing!

God is love so He has no joy in the destruction of sinners makes an impact on me. I pray for my family and friends who are non-believers and have hope they will come to faith. Faith is so important in accepting God's love, we cannot know His love without faith. I am so glad I read your words today, I work tomorrow and cannot make it to church and God has reached me through your words.

This is a rather divisive list that surely won't convert anyone. Condemnation always sounds hollow from sinners. Faith is never going to be a worldwide deal. Whenever two or three are gathered together, then you can be happy. Jesus didn't come to condemn.

You're right of course. Jesus did not come to condemn, but to save those already condemned. Many don't realize the necessity to be saved, so faithfulness to the Gospel requires revealing said condemnation with a view to pointing the way to be saved.

John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 ?He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.?
