I must confess to you that writing is emotional for me. I have no idea why my writing is more emotional than most other areas of my life. This is a nice poem about the coming of a grand daughter. The story can be sort of pieced together. A couple was told they couldn't conceive, but did. Your notes have answered some questions I had. Happy grand-parenting!

Oh I just love the art work that goes with this poem. It complements well the message of a baby about to be born, the joyous event for first time parents and the expectant happiness on the part of grandparents. I enjoyed reading this feel-good poem. God bless.

I liked this stanza in particular:
"At this point it's pins and needles,

Just a note. From experience, I can tell you that putting words in bold type usually has the opposite effect on the reader. It takes away from the natural flow of the poem.

I have a grandson who is now 2 and his name is Breyden, & he too is a miracle baby as my son, the army told my son that he was sterile, & at 37 yrs old it was his first child, unexpected, but he always wanted to be a father, & be married like he is, & wife had many complications during the pregnancy...And Breyden now is a healthy toddler.
The only thing that I found was that the first line has 7 syllables, instead of 8 , though I think you can fix that with no problem, or possibly keep it that way. Also being it's a true poem I would list it as biographical.
Best Wishes for your great entry & too for a healthy delivery for your daughter and your granddaughter....and write another poem after Brelynn is born, when you have a chance.
