Wow!

The character's are very deep and have distinct personalities that are very believable. I love your writing style, especially when you describe what your characters are thinking, and the way each speaks to each other. Good interplay and flow.

Do I gather this is the end? What a great read and glad I got in on it. I love all the emotion and glee from the young boy. I don't care if there is more. Happy to read any further you have on this. NO SPAGS!

I read the previous chapter and am commenting on both. I am so far behind in reviews, I hope you don't mind.
This story is very compelling in it's value as far as human interest goes.
I feel that the characters are real. You tell the story as if it is about folks you know. The Sherriff and his love for Cody shines through. And he will be adopting Cody, what a great plot... The Judge was a fantastic person.
Nicely done,
:-) Carolyn

I was over joy to heard the wonderful news from the judge.
If I was there I would have hugged him myself.
Thank you for sharing.
Have a blessed day.

I appreciate your knowledge of legal jargon and your story has progressed without me reading it ever before.
I prefer to see the cast characters first so I can know the people who are speaking.
Line nine: their diamond blueness was dim? The boy in the picture has brown eyes, and dim blueness sounds a bit off. Ahem.
You have many details in the Cast of Characters and I wonder if it's too much? It is overloaded with explanations of them when the Story should be telling us about the characters not the Cast dialogue. Thanks.

Hi Brett,

This was interesting to read too. I'm glad that Cody is going to be adopted by the Sheriff. They both seem to care a lot for each other. I will be looking forward to what will happen next.

Great additional chaptering. This so reminds me of a judge I am friends with that has brought great things to the community. He is fair, just, and offers answers to ways of correcting ones behaviors except it is adult court. A most great and outstanding individual. Great Writing. It needs to be a movie.

This little Evan makes me think of your Cody...He looks shy and courteous. I don't usually read the chapters that are later in the book for this reason...I long to read the beginning. I really want to read this WHOLE book. This chapter is well done and I am drawn in. I want to know more! How do I become a fan on here?

Well done. Thank you for sharing!

It is your book but I think you can add more with third person and take it farther using a story form than first person. First person is limited...just an opinion. You Went from first person Cody to him leaving the room, then the rest talking. You cant do that if you are using Cody first person. See what I mean?
