a mate with whom to play. ... Nope. She ain't mate searchin', that's for certain. She has a husband, her soul mate, whom she loves very deeply ...


Or is she just a Cheshire cat
who keeps us in a spin?
While lapping up the lovely cream
she'll wear a secret grin. ... Now THIS assessment I'd be more apt to agree with ...

Your poem is well rhymed, wonderfully well presented, and a nice ode to I Am Cat.

I am Cat's friend and I think you did a great job writing this poem for her, or in her honor. Whoever had the idea for this contest is a genius. Cat is such a wonderful person.

Well, I sound AWESOME! I love that this is written in one of my favorite forms... iambic tetrameter/trimeter! Just like I write the Matilda series... Awesomely and perfectly penned, it just lilts along wonderfully... you stole my heart with this...
Thank you so much for saying such sweet things, and I can't wait to find out who wrote this... the term, 'one off' gives me a hint... only one other person has said that to me on site, and i've never heard the term before that. ;)
So I have a clue. lol

I think you wrote about my daughter, only kidding but it could apply. I liked the flow of the poem from one verse to another. Each verse was distinct and stood on its own merit. I have had cats and you are so perceptive in your writing about how cats can manipulate and have such free spirits.
