Oh the turns that life can take! Your poem does a fantastic job of showing that, just as Robert Frost says of the two paths... You told the story well of the path and hindsight. The aabb rhyming was nice and smooth. Blessings, AmyJo

Come on. Hey at ninety-two if you are still making it "with those sweet blondes with sexy airs" what the hell are you worried about? You remind me of the man who said he wanted to die aged 101, shot by a jealous husband. Lol.

This poem brightened my day.

I enjoyed reading this poem, a little sad but had some humorous tones that were nicely accentuated. Thank you very much for sharing this. God bless you

An enjoyable read about losing it all. I've come close to that, but not because of blondes or affairs of any sort. I like your rhyme scheme; it is the one I typically use for my own poetry. Good work.

I love it. Your rhyme, meter, your sense of humor and whimsy hit the roof! I hope this is not biographical (lol). Though it's been known to happen to many. Prayer is a good road to take.

This was a classic. Loved it.

A very well-written poem about all the things you have done and lost everyThing. It is said that regret is a good thing, it just almost always comes when it's too late.

I enjoyed this fun write, all spent up and losing your job! Left alone to brood! I don't find it sad, it's reality for some, but you gave it a lighthearted twist! Love Dolly x

Jaybird,

A perfect way to describe this write: "A down to earth bit of sad humour". HAHAHA Very succinctly put. Very clever description and one I enjoyed. I enjoyed the whole piece, actually -- so nice after some of the posts I have read today! haha! Thanks!

Aw, it is sad! Hope it's not your real song! I used to be one of those 'sweet blondes' ha ha. But...please don't blame me, I promise...it wasn't me, ha ha. Just joking. Sad to lose everything, gambling for that which has no lasting meaning. Loved this, blessings...
