Five stars for the writing, but seriously a dark poem that uses Biblical images in a negative way. The dark horse in Revelations was after the dark entities that people the Earth. Christ was the Light...not darkness. This mixing of dark metaphor with Christianity is deception and portrays God as powerless which is untrue. Those who in offense seek the demise of others are the darkness the horse was after. Anyone who has experienced a near death experience and I am one..will tell you that vivid light appears after death not darkness. Stop mixing metaphors.

Rev 6:7-8 "And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see." "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death 'A Pale Horse - This horse represents death The light in my poem denotes a state of been alive, when we alive we can see the physical light, but when we die(our physical eyes closes) we can't see light we see darkness-the physical darkness. So darkness will overpower the light, because Death is inevitable for every one of us.so the pale horse knocks on everybody's door, which means death knocks on our door why? because we all have been cursed from our first parents Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden. I hope this explanation gives you a hint of what my poem is talking about. Thank you for the review. I appreciate

Not true tho. I experienced death at the same timemy friend died...no darkness..just great light...I was not aware he had died except for the experience. Your poem...smile...say what you want.

To experience death while living is different from to die physically(stop breathing).Take for example when you close your eyes ,what do you see? It's dark. When you open your eyes you can see daylight, death here is described in such a way when we close our eyes, when you see a dead person his eyes is closed just like he is asleep.Jesus resurrected Darius daughter, when they told him she was dead, he told them she was only sleeping, physically yes she was dead but in spiritual sense she was sleeping, all the Lord said was "Daughter wake up".He resurrected her, so my poem is physically saying that when we die we hope to be resurrected yes by Jesus Christ

I like this poem, it gives grave (no pun intended) warning and when looked upon in depth, the reader discovers a passion to save those whom are lost in the wake of ill intentions. You've been able to show a state of horror in the loss of life, without using the descriptive language of gore.

You should be pleased with this accomplishment. It deserves the 5-Star rating.

Your poem is eloquent as the expression of one side of the story, but there is another, brighter side. Knowing about the light is one thing, but living in the light is another. Since Jesus Christ came, the light no longer needs to flee from the darkness. Darkness now is on the run from the Light! Since darkness is all around us we must carry the Light within us everywhere we go.

This was amazing. The Revelation is my favorite book of the Bible. The author has related some facts I appreciate in knowing. There are so many elements here, that I would have to read this and separate those elements to get the full meaning. Nice job. Thanks!! thonnigford09

We all will grieve during this lifetime, who have loved. But we have to live with hope that the great mysteries of life will shine upon us at our hour of death, and someday, we too will live with everlasting breath. "Everywhere we touch we leave fingerprints." We certainly do. I think your poem is a nice dedication to all those we have lost. Thank you for sharing.

There is such profound depth to this poem. You have researched your references very well and you have felt the pain of loss and have addressed the reality of life which is death. Great writing, thank you.
