So on point! Why are we taught from our earliest years to shun this quintessential sense, intuition, that butterflies in the stomach sensation. Why must we limit ourselves to the physically perceptible and shun all the other spectrum's that clearly exist. Superb line :Elevating the common sense

Sadly it has been assigned an airy fairy role which is simply not true.
Having said this is a lovely poem and addresses the faith contest requirements in a unique and yet highly authentic manner.

Actually RP I was quite surprised to learn that we have many more senses than only six and intuition certainly acts upon all of the senses.
Sadly it has been assigned an airy fairy role which is simply not true.

I think intuition is a subconscious recognition and summing up of facts
when "a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest." And
dreams are merely belated reactions to forces in life-including baseless fears. Can't argue with wisely framed plans, though, or solidly rhyming quatrains.

You have rightly said how intuition remains dormant when one is stressed up. The rewards of intuition are sweet but it does not pop up so easily. One has to calm the mind to enjoy the fruit of his labour.

RPSaxena, this is an interesting entry into the Faith poetry contest. I like that you have chosen a different tact and gone with faith in having intuition instead of the religious faith in God and heaven. I appreciated the change and am very open to intuition.
As to your poem, the meter is slightly off and you have repeated a couple of words that may perhaps need to be considered for an alternative word - ie - being, (1st stanza), sense and sensing (4th stanza). Just food for thought. Thank you for this enlightening read and best wishes in the competition. ~DD
