Earthy and sunny to the last Chris' you had me down a more sexy path just for a moment. What a great read this Sunday I find, a tail, then a twist and the sunn comes out, such a lot to shout about. A lovely poetic plea from the sun. An so funny with it.

Thank You eric, for stopping by to read my poem and for your fabulous six star I am glad you thought this worthy and I do so appreciate your lovely review. Ha Ha I had you and it was just a SUN bake . I am addicted to sunbaking I love the warmth and feel like it warms up my bones. I love writing and this site has given me so much fun and made me strech my imagination and creativity. Again many Thanks and nice to meet you Cheers Christine😃

Your rhyming, rhythm, meter and flow are all impeccable, the story within is a delight and that ending is sublime my friend.

This is a great poem above a passionate sun. I will forgive you for indulging in this personification because you wrote a well-crafted and entertaining poem with a twist at the end. What struck me most was the smoothness of your rhymes and rhythm. I can hear your words in my ear. Your description is passionate and I thought you were describing a couple of lovers:
"For years I've been your one desire
To warm your heart with burning fire."
Alas, it is only a sunbake, and a polished, funny love poem to the sun. Thank you for sharing. Please put on sunscreen.

Hi Sis Cat, I am pleased you thought this a funny love poem to the sun .I do love the sun it always makes me feel alive and warms the cockrels of my heart. I couldn't resist one last sunbake before the cold sets in. No sunscreen for me haven't used that for years. ( I know .I Know LOL ) Thanks for your great review and support Cheers Christine

Christine, this is a very cleverly written poem. I had to read it twice to fully appreciate it. Initially it reads like two lovers, which I'm sure is your intention. However, by the time the end of your poem is reached it's all about sunshine and sunny days. Well done for this excellent read. ~DD
