Lovely poem of pain and suffering, and a terrible childhood that someone allowed to happen. Vivid sorrowful descriptions of poverty-stricken children; however, a tale of when things changed around and rainbow appeared bringing hope and change. liberty justice

I think as parents as we look back on our rearing years we would like to change the past but that is not possible. Only forward do we go and the path chosen will hopefully find the rainbow of ones dreams.

I love the use of the rainbow, the refraction of white light into it's full spectrum of color and the absence of color in black. The story of pain and healing of forgiveness. Very creative and heart felt. Thank you for sharing!

"The Forgiveness Rainbow" is an extremely well-written and thought-provoking piece. This talented poet must have truly suffered in his/her youth, Life can certainly be tough. It was a pleasure to both read and review a work of this standard.

A well written descriptive poem, about storms of life that that one goes through
and then relating it to the rainbow and the symbolic pot of gold on the other side of the storm. Hope I got this right. Good luck with the contest.

There is gold at the end of the rainbow, but it has no financial value. It is life's experiences and lessons learned. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

I have so much joy in my life now, every once in awhile the pain comes back but I know how to handle it now. Thank you so much.

This is so lovely - a free verse from the heart. Good use of metaphor using a rainbow and all the uses of colour to express stages in your life. A new story
illustrated in shades of life - I particularly like this metaphor. You have told a personal story bravely and these stories always make the best poems, I think.
