An interesting tale of a young man who went on a hike and found his bride. It is good they remained married for so many years. This seems like a non-fiction write. The descriptions are good as the reader hikes along.

Excellent

This is one of the stories that keep people shaking their heads in wonder at the coincidences of life. The heart of this story is not the 28 mile walk, but who was in the Red Cross tent towards the end of the walk. This is a nice love story based on paths crossing again.

I enjoyed this read very much and the descriptions of the surrounding city where round the island walk took place was well written. I have never heard of the Army's best kept secret with regard to the feet, so that was enlightening. Now I am off to Google it. If any part of this is your story, you are a lucky man.

Yay! What a great feel-good story. I love happy endings, and this certainly has one. Love at first sight doesn't usually last since it's only lust, but it's nice to imagine it can be real. :)

Thank you Phyllis, for your kind review. You are right in most cases I suppose. I know of one example where it was love at first sight age thirteen. With only eyes for one another they were eventually married. This lasted many years until she died of MS just recently. Your review is very much appreciate... ~Mel~
