Wow, dear Bev, this is POWERFUL and tightly polished. AWESOME work--so intense and impacting and unique in style and formatting. Totally resonate with your thoughts and message.
It's most effective and original. Enjoyed! My hairs stood on end with these lines:

As if accepting
we failed someone, somewhere
is enough penance

And these too:

As if justice
has any connection with supernovas
or exploding suns

(Awesome showing not telling. Remarkable lines!)

Nice inclusion here:

As if our journey
is but one path
travelled by the feet of many

One spag issue is the inaccurate caps in this stanza:

As if we
C(c)ould banish victimhood
A(a)nd embrace our victory

This is a great fresh image (knitting actions line is brilliant!):

As if we can
change a minute of the years flung away
or knit our actions into a proper suit

Fine presentation too.

I have been very much encouraged by the reviews for this post. Back when I first joined the site, I used to write quite a bit more poetry. I really do love the discipline and focus. So, thanks for encouraging me, Rama. You're the best!

First, I have to tell you how much I enjoy the style of this piece.
Having said that, the essence of this piece is fantastic. How
