Hi Bev,
Great job with your freestyle musings. I especially like the presentation with repetitive "as if" phrases and color change. I agree that we are constantly evolving and the choices we make determine our path.

Happy Easter, my friend. :-)

I believe we are all connected with one another and with every aspect of nature. If we could regenerate in oneness how wonderful our planet would be. No one should berate you for your beliefs, tolerance for others' beliefs is part of our spiritual maturity.

I've had nothing but kind reviews from the folks on the site, so I think there's more freedom to express alternate views than when I joined five years ago. It's refreshing and encouraging.

Thank you very much for your generous and supportive review. And I love the idea of regenerating in oneness! That's an epic thought.

I am, too. So many ways the site has changed over time, and much of it is good I think.

Yes, I have to agree our bodies are in a constant state of flux. From day to day we change, we grow. This poem makes one think and that is the whole point of poetry.
We really haven't any control, fate plays a big part...enjoed reading this one. Well written.

Very well thought out and precisely worded. A lot to think about. A great line "Knit out actions into a proper suit." This poem makes me wonder about how much we can control in our lives. When have we done enough? Thought about banishing victimhood and embracing our victory is great. We are kind of a victimhood culture, so that line is really worth considering. Great work. Hope you'll write more poems. judi

    Hi, Judi

Thanks for the great review and, especially, the encouragement to write more poems. I do enjoy it.

I appreciate you mentioning the sections that you liked, too, as that's always helpful. Your insight into the way the culture embraces victimhood is one of the points I hoped to make.

    Have a great Easter,

    Bev

Hmmm...stroking my chin as I think about your philosophy. I believe our life is set before us even before we are born. I do believe "there opens a highway and a low, each man decides which way his soul shall go." And hate brings dreadful consequences, once again - a choice. Very deep and meaningful my friend. We are not a puppet on a string, eh?

I believe we are slaves to our own limited thoughts, Kay. The resurrection story is one that inspires me to believe that we are all capable of much more than we can ever imagine.

Thanks for your kind review and interesting insights.

When I was a child, my dad told me that we were joined to heaven by the Silver Cord; at night we travelled the Cord to our spiritual home; where we learnt how to live on earth. At the moment of death, the Cord is severed, so we do not return. Love, K.

That silver cord comes up in several different cultures. I've heard it mentioned in some of the healing circles I've been involved with, so I have to think there's truth in it. Thanks for sharing, Kay.

As if forgiveness is not ours to seek, but the Holy Father alone to bequeath. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

And that cell is yet to be defined, for man has a way of destroying all that is beautiful without considering he is of the same thing he destroys, and nature has an abundance of advantages we have yet to fathom.

Really like the different perspectives,Bev, and the way you have laid them out.

This is not one to review in any grammatical term as it is perfect as it is, the style being unique to the write itself. We have not much time, and though we develop to live longer, it is a normal process, yet, I have a sneaky feeling nature can cull us when needed. The cell is a magnificent gene and we have yet to fathom its worth.

Bravo, Bev. The right of everyman or woman is the right to determine own belief even if influenced by others...for life is short indeed.

Best wishes,
My friend.
