Hello, Lizbo. Thank you so much for the generosity of both your review and encouraging insights. The kindness behind the words comes through clearly for me.

Love the formatting in this write, helping the reader to focus on each stanza and follow through with clean visual lines. of course the art didn't gel well with "me" for this write, however it did not hinder it either. Well written.

Excellent depth to your profound questioning. Very thought provoking ending and author notes. Superb formatting and presentation. Each word is well placed, and the line breaks give emphasis and pause in effective places. I admire free verse that is so well done.
That last line really resonates, especially
The power of a singular glorious cell.
Great work, Bev.

Hi, Debi
Thank you so very much for your most kind and generous review. As you know, I'm a real fan of your poetic abilities, so your insights and comments mean a lot to me. I wondered about the last three lines as another reviewer said he didn't think it necessary. So, getting your opinion is especially helpful. Everyone brings something fresh to the table LoL.
Happy Easter!
Hugs, Bev

Hi Bev,
You're right, everyone sees something different when they read a poem. The main thing is to be true to yourself. Personally, I like this piece just the way it is.
Thank you for the nice comments about my poetry. You have every right to be proud of your own.
I am looking forward to a few more chapters in you novels, too.
Have a wonderful Easter!

As if
the poet's prophetic pen
isn't mightier than the assassins sword...
Do warriors achieve more with a pure heart than they do when armed with soulless steel? I'd like to think so, Bev
This is a powerfully profound poetic proclamation portraying the plight of one single, as yet identified cell, whose fate lies in the hands of a fathomless merciless few. And that fathomless few are we, the human race.
How eager man is to decimate, destroy and defile almost everything pure and perfect that he can lay his hands on.
Nicely done, Bev...

WHOAAAA! I truly loved this poem and am inspired by it! You have already impacted me and I'm starting to think more. This definitely resonates with me and I was hooked from the first few lines. I like how you used the word "As" to start off each line or stanza. Very excellent work.

How interesting Bev! This resonates with me, as I've heard Native American's speak of this...in different words of course. I don't know the truth of life, all I can do is exist. And hope for the best. Nice work Bev...! x

Hi, Susan. I'm so glad this post resonated with you. I think the Native American culture is probably one of the biggest influences on my life, as well. So, I'm honored by the comparison.
Great to hear from you, my friend. And thanks for the generosity and support.

Did you hear Bernie Sanders speak of how he would be more aware of Native American relations? I like him, but don't think his plan for free stuff will help. We pay for enuff. :/
-
I hadn't read that, Suze. You have to give him points for sensitivity to the people we stole this country from. xx

I don't think the Native American peoples WANT anything free. I think they just want what was originally theirs in the first place.

A thought provoking piece of poetry in your free style musings. I liked the "As If" phrase beginning each stanza. Grounding and pulling the reader back each time.
We are all moving and changing and hopefully growing.
Well done.
Blessings and Happy Easter.

Thank you very much for your most generous review, Janet. I like your comment on how 'we are all moving and changing'. I think the emphasis of late on negative attitudes and cruel actions causes us to lose sight of the bigger picture. More cancers than ever are being cured and that's just a small part of all the gifts of knowledge and technology.
I really appreciate your support and encouragement.
Happy Easter to you as well... Bev

Writing--
I don't think I need the info on the cell to find this a really exciting exercise. Not really a poem but linked aphorisms. All of which cause thought like a good Zen slap should do. Don't feel the need for the last three lines.
Probably have given it a six but have none.
Thanks
Jeff
