Yes, there is much good reading and wisdom to be had in the bible. The lessons there are enough to carry us through life.
The Lion and the Lamb is one of my favourite passages.
It is from Revelations 5: 5-6
5 Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David,
hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,
and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain

Both the Lion and the Lamb both refer to Jesus Christ. He is both the conquering Lion of the tribe of Judah and the Lamb who was slain. I also like the passage from Isaah about the lion and the lamb being able to be at peace with one another.

A very well written Easter poem, we should only trust God for all the things we need every day. He already know when the right time is to present it to us when we need it the most.

Of course Jesus is both the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and the Lion of the tribe of Judah. So well done Teri, beautifully composed to glorify the prince of glory, in brilliant language and aabb rhyming, well done, happy Easter, blessings, Roy

Easter is the most holy of days in Christianity. Your well written poem acknowledges this event. We celebrate His death and rising above death tomorrow with praises and joy. Much good luck in the contest and Happy Easter. Marilyn

You made me smile. No, it's not your typical Easter poem. But then,
you don't do things typically. I so enjoyed this because it clearly
is coming from your heart and it touched mine. Happy Easter, Teri. -Bill

I love your Easter poem. We need to be reminded what Easter is all about, and the pain and suffering He endured to give us Easter.

I love the photo. I see examples all the time the lion and the lamb laying down together. Different species that adopt one another. I think it's great, as is your poem. 8-)

Tresea this is a lovely Easter Poem. I am glad you shared it as an Easter poem because we oft times forget the extreme pain our Savior went through for us. Patricia

Hi Teri
Thanks for sharing your Easter poem. I appreciate your witness through rhyme.
I have a few suggestions,
"It makes my heart so happy when my problems to Him I bring." ... the end of this line is forced. You are positioning the words to catch one that rhymes with "sing". I'm afraid only Yoda (Star Wars) can get away with this.
How about something like,
It makes my heart feel lighter when I tell Him anything.)
Burdens are lifted at Calvary!

"This is an Easter poem and it comes from my heart to yours." ... (you shouldn't tell the reader that this is an Easter poem. It belittles them. I would rewrite this line and use some word that rhymes with "endure".
For example,
No matter where the road leads, please be reassured
Our loving God is with us. In Him, we shall endure.)

"He was blameless and even the king (said this as it is said) in the Good Book."
There has to be a better way to say this. You really need to rephrase it. And what king said "He is blameless." ? I'd help you more here if I could, but I don't know where you're going with this. These last two lines are too long.

"If you don't believe me then make it a point to read and take a good long look!"
This line is much too long. You can say what needs to be said in fewer words.
For example,
If you don't believe me, then you should take another look.)

I'd like to share a song with you about the Lion and the Lamb. It's by Wendy & Mary (1983) from their album, "The Wind Came Singing".

Wendy is Wendy Francisco, an excellent guitarist and songwriter who participates in Don's concerts.

Good Luck! I hope I've helped just a bit.
Blessings
Kimbob
