This is a very fine poem
One, as you say, that needs to be written
Truth is at the core of a free society
It seems a doubly offensive crime
that the church of all places
hides behind lies and cover-ups
Perfect art work to match your poem
Victims need truth and support
Excellent poem
That shines light in dark places

There is no excuse for any one who abuses any child. When it is within a church organisation it is counted as an unforgivable sin. Check your second last stanza, I think too should be (to).

Revenge serves no purpose, but let's hope that justice serves the future of children consigned to these institutions, surely child abuse is the most heinous and obscene of all crimes. Nicely written, excellent flow and meter even, articulate, expressive and some really great internal rhyme, so well done. Christine. Excellent presentation and the delivery is superb, well done, blessings. Roy

Ho Roy. Thanks so much for your very encouraging words and review for my poem. No revenge is unwarranted , but Justice must be prevail, for closure to these brave victims and for any future issues . one would hope this will not happen again. I tried to write this in a diplomatic manner , but also wanted to highlight their concerns. it seems a world wide issue that beggers belief. I hope I have done them justice with my words. Cheers Christine have a great day Roy. Cheers Christine

Abuse of children is beyond my compression, and the predatory nature of the people inflicting this injury on defenceless innocence. Well done, Christine,

It is unfortunately, a strange truth when religion is mixed with faith. As the LORD said: Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many. Mark 13:6, In the Catholic Religion is like the same which Apostle Paul discovered: Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: "People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship--and this is what I am going to proclaim to you. "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. Acts 17:20-24 Religion is the worship of a god or gods, which is against the principles in which those of faith cannot accept. So without the anointing of the Only True GOD, this is a fruitless venture of seeking Him. So judge for yourself, Mary was an surrogate mother whom housed the LORD GOD in her womb, but when He was born, does she do anything else? As John the baptize said: "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Then for the LORD, what child did He abuse? So how is this a true testimony of what He did? Amen

yes there is no excuse for child abuse whether it's in Australia are in here in the United States of America the excuses isn't any can blame it on the lack of religion throughout the world which is growing immensely each and every day they burn churches down the Philadelphia Catholic priests are violating their the seminary orders and abusing other boys and other children who attended church history it's got to be seating group is no doubt about it and thanks for your wonderful piece Ricky 10:24

Hi Ricky, I thank you very much for reading and reviewing my poem for this issue and you are very right there is no excuse for any kind of child abuse, no matter from where it happens. I feel quite strongly about the lack of truth and lack of compassion from those who many should be able to look up to and how sad for the true Christians their faith must be quite rocked when this happens. I just wanted to add my thoughts and support to the victims with this. So many Thanks and Cheers for your feedback Christine😃
